Accident - Goods Vehicle - Liability to pay compensation in respect of bodily injury or death - Effect of 1994 amendment vis-a-vis Section 147 of the Act - Although the liability of insurance company extends to owner of the goods or his authorised representative who would be covered by the policy of insurance in respect of goods vehicle , insurance company has no liability with respect to passengers, especially gratuitous passengers who are neither contemplated at the time contract of insurance is entered into nor any premium paid to the extent of benefit of insurance to such category of people - Liability to pay compensation is of the owner of the vehicle.
