Motor Accident Claim - Quantum of compensation - Dispute as to - Deceased was member of Indian Information Service, drawing salary of Rs. 9340 per month and was aged 31 year 2 months - Mother filed claim petition - No averment of being dependent on deceased - Tribunal applied multiplier of 17 on basis of age of decreased and awarded interest @ 15% - Held, while parents are claimants age of deceased is not relevant and it is age of claimants which would determine multiplier to be adopted - Taking into account age of claimant, income of deceased, loss of love and affection, mental shock a total sum of Rs. 5 lacs shall be payable with interest @ 7.5% from date of claim till payment.
