                                    The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955  - Section 13 (1)
Divorce - Cruelty - Suit for divorce at instance of husband on ground of cruelty - Husband failed to establish that respondent treated him with cruelty - Rather wife was turned out of matrimonial house and had been given beatings for which she was medically examined - Held that it was husband who treated wife with cruelty.

Divorce - Irretrievable breakdown - Husband-appellant seeking dissolution of marriage on the ground of irretrievable breakdown - No such ground is provided by legislature under Section 13 for granting a decree of divorce - Held that it is for Parliament to enact or amend the law and not for the Court.
