Chargesheet filed - Against the appellants policemen accused of a contract killing being engaged by a private person to eliminate the deceased - Bail application filed - Sessions Court granted bail to the appellants but that was cancelled by the High Court - Appeal - Accused version that the deceased was shot in a police encounter found to be false during the investigation - Prosecution material collected during the investigation prima facie indicates that deceased was abducted during the day time and was taken to D.N.Nagar Police Station and from there he was taken to some unknown place where he was shot dead -Accused/appellants are police personnel and it was their duty to uphold the law, but far from performing their duty, they appear to have operated as criminals, thus, the High Court was perfectly justified in cancelling the bail to the accused-appellants - Appeal dismissed.
