Indian Penal Code,1860  - Section 498-A

Conviction and sentence - Four appellants sentenced to undergo RI for one year - Husband sentenced to undergo three years' rigorous imprisonment - Mother and father of husband already undergone two years and eight months of sentence - Held, in ends of justice sentence of husband reduced to period already undergone - However, one of appellants about 17 years of age as on date of FIR - Being a juvenile cannot be tried with other accused by criminal Court - Ordinarily matter to be sent back to Juvenile Board - But, since many years lapsed, juvenile appellant deemed to be acquitted.
